Volunteer Housing

For both groups and individuals traveling from out of state, CGR offers modest, low-cost accommodations on-site at our office in the Lower 9th Ward.

Accomodations

Volunteer service is a required aspect of CGR housing in order to maintain the mission of this organization. The nightly housing rate includes linens, use of laundry facilities, communal living and cooking spaces, wifi, and basic groceries for 3 meals a day plus snacks. More information on accommodations is available upon request.

Small Groups & Individuals

CGR has up to 5 rooms available for individuals, couples, or small groups of 3 or less interested in an immersive and educational trip to New Orleans focused on service done in partnership with communities on the front line of climate change.

Large Groups

CGR's Volunteer House, which is connected by a shared yard space to the office building, can accommodate groups of up to 22 individuals seeking a similar shared experience.

Summer Programming

Learn about New Orleans’ through a variety of perspectives, challenges, and solutions by working with several organizations during your summer stay. Outline potential partner organizations, nursery and community space work etc.
