Common Ground Relief met immense success and growth in 2021. CGR navigated
through the multi-pronged challenges of transitioning executive leadership,
reviving programs in food security and disaster relief, functioning safely through
COVID-19, and recovering from Hurricane Ida.

CGR came out the other side a stronger organization, more affirmed in its values,
programs, and support network. CGR served community members in both familiar
and new ways, exceeding goals for the numbers of trees and marsh grasses planted
in wetlands restoration and expanding food distribution and disaster relief
mobilizations. The organization also released a new strategic plan, mission, vision,
and values statements in 2021, thanks to an in-depth year-long planning process
funded by the Roddick Foundation. This report details our activities throughout
this notable year.
