DAY-OF SCHEDULE Meet at the Native Plant Nursery at 1501 Jourdan Ave no later than 9 am Circle up for introductions and instructions for the day before planting Our goal is to plant 25 extra large trees along the Claiborne Bridge off ramp, which causes constant noise and air pollution for surrounding neighbors. These trees will grow to become a visual and auditory screen that will benefit our neighbors! This project is funded by the City Dept of Parks & Parkways and our trees will be planted according to city guidelines. This project is in alignment with the City of New Orleans' goal to reach 30% canopy cover by 2030. After Hurricane Ida, our canopy cover was just at 18%. We can do better! We offer sliding scale donation options to help cover staffing and material costs. If our pricing options are cost prohibitive, please reach out. We deeply appreciate your contributions that keep us going!
