Nine Times Parade

Nine Times celebration in the Lower 9th Ward, New Orleans, Louisiana. Nine Families from the 9th Ward's Desire Housing Project.

The Nine Times Social Aid and Pleasure Club slowly rebuild their Club after Katrina hit in 2005. Most of their members were scattered all over the US. Now they are happy to be home and they celebrate and say thanks for all their blessings.
They have also written a book about their childhood in the Ninth Ward's Desire Housing Project.
"Coming Out The Door For The Ninth Ward" by Nine Times Social and Pleasure Club is a delight, published in 2006 by Neighborhood Story Project.

The parade was a wonderful experience and a joy to watch and participate in. The spirit of the New Orleneans will stay forever!
