Common Ground Relief is fully committed to the restoration of the Ninth Ward and the greater New Orleans area following the devastation caused Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and subsequent issues many homeowners have faced as a result of contractor fraud, deceptive practices by insurance companies and many other factors.

As we result we have developed a multi-faceted construction program with the aim of assisting home owners at various stages of rebuilding.

In our New Home Construction Program we partner with licensed contractors to build affordable custom homes.

Our Volunteer Construction and Rebuilding program provides homeowners with assistance from trained, skilled volunteers in various aspects of home rebuilding, including the installation of drywall, framing and other finishing elements.

The Job Training Program brings together local youth with licensed contractors to learn valuable construction skills.

Additionally, our Legal Clinic Staff can work with residents to help them apply for House Raising grants.
